March delivery delays

New car deliveries delayed by the #BeastFromTheEast.
The difficult conditions imposed by last week’s snow and ice – the so-called #BeastFromTheEast – has meant that many Kew Vehicle Leasing customers have not received their new March plate registration vehicles this week.

“While we wholeheartedly share the disappointment of our customers in not receiving their cars, the reason is entirely due to the weather conditions,” explained Lee Jones, Managing Director of Kew Vehicle Leasing.“The snow and ice resulting from the freezing conditions meant many roads were impassable. The result has meant that cars were unable to be moved from the docks where they had landed, while some deliveries to UK docks were cancelled altogether.“This had led to a backlog of car deliveries. Our suppliers are working strenuously to catch up on the delivery back log.”

Redeliveries will be taking place this week, and will range in time from 48 hours to five days to re-schedule.
