Did you know this? It seems slightly obvious once you mention it, but In the British Isles, you’re never more than 70 miles from the coast.
No, we didn’t but now we do know we’re thinking about heading to the coast.
And if you think that can’t be done in an electric car, then just consider this:The new Vauxhall Corsa-e has an official range of 209 miles, which means if you are looking for an affordable family outing to the seaside, without needing to re-charge your car, then the Corsa-e will do the job admirably - and still have plenty of charge left to run the air conditioning if it’s a really hot day.
The Corsa-e is the fully electric version of the brand new Corsa model. It qualifies for the plug-in car grant, which is included in all Corsa-e lease rentals. And, apart from being slightly heavier thanks to the weight of the battery, and not making any engine noise, it’s all but the same as the new petrol and diesel Corsa models.Except for one thing: it will cost you pennies to run on electricity. And you won’t ever have to visit a fuel filling station again.
There are two highly-specified trim levels to choose from – SE Nav and Elite Nav. But as standard the all-new Corsa-e comes with automatic climate control, electric parking brake and Keyless Entry & Go. Drivers also receive a 7-inch colour touchscreen and a digital cockpit as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, for all the smartphone connectivity you’ll need.
Other goodies included in the new Corsa-e are IntelliLux LED matrix lights, which deliver world-class beam technology into the small car segment for the first time, while standard safety and driver assistance features include Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection, Lane Keep Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition.
It’s a clever little car this Corsa-e. And we’ve got some equally clever lease deals. Check out our latest Corsa-e personal leasing rates.
Sign up to one then you can hop to the seaside!
